Pastini Pastaria is open!  We apologize for the error in last month’s column.

Café Pallino at 30th and Division will reopen as American Local, featuring “drinking food”. Compote on Clinton at 20th, is remodeled and reopened as Block’s Cafe. They’ve widened their menu and added take-out food. Google’s annual list of most searched restaurants in Portland was headed again by Pok Pok.

The Oregonian’s Arts and Entertainment lists Double Dragon’s Christmas in Mexico second on their list of Rich and Creamy seasonal drinks.  It also praised Xico, at 37th and Division, for both food and drink and Sen Yai, 34th and Division for its noodles.

Mr Green Beans opened at 3559 SE Division, two doors east of Coffee Division.  Mr Green Beans provides supplies and education for many Do It Yourself food projects.  The gas station on the corner of Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. and Division St. is open for business with the new 7-11 store.  Did you know Division St. was named one of the 10 Best Foodie Streets in America by Food & Wine magazine in May 2013?

Also honored in 2013 for Best Counter Service eateries are Little Big Burger, Mi Mero Mole and Bollywood theater (coming soon to D Street Village). Then check out www.travelportland.com/collection/division-clinton to see how else we’re becoming known.

Division/Clinton’s annual luncheon meeting and silent auction takes place at St Philip Neri’s Carvlin Hall, 17th and Division 11:30 – 1 pm on January 28. All businesses in the district are invited. Come enjoy lunch provided by some of our award winning restaurants, bid on interesting items, and learn what the business association will focus on in 2014. Enliven the event by bringing an item for the silent auction. All funds raised go to support the work of the association.  Park in their lot.

Now the holiday season is over, the City is back to work in the district. Contact project spokesman Joseph Annett at 503.823.2934 or joseph.annett@portlandoregon.gov.
