My Passport to People at NE Portland’s Hellenic-American Cultural Center Museum presents a retrospective of Papas’ watercolors, acrylics and prints opening September 1 through December at 3131 NE Glisan St.
Papas was a political cartoonist with the London Sunday Times, The Guardianandotherbooksandperiodicals.HewasoneofEngland’sbest-knownpoliticalcartoonists.
From the mid eighties until his death in a plane crash in 2000, he made Portland his home, exhibited in his own gallery here and created the picture book, Papas’ Portland.
