The first Eastside Music Showcase is at the Clinton Street Theater is Friday, October 16 and the musical line up is exciting withAlexander’s Real Time Band, Hunter Paye and the evening’s host, Alexa Wiley & the Wilderness.
Wiley & the Wilderness’ new album reached the Top 5 in weekly sales at Music Millennium in January 2015 and the group, (Steve Dearborn, Bret Malmquist, Sean Oldham, Dale Turnbull, and Wiley) have become a bona fide musical success this year.
Alexander’s Real Time Band’s brand of Organic Soul is led by Alan Alexander, lead singer, songwriter and producer for legendary Portland group, Dub Squad. His new musical, “Alan’s Confectionary” was performed at the 2015 Fertile Ground Festival. The band consists of Alexander, Susan Peck, Whit Draper and Frankie Linderman and they’ve created a new soundtrack for the heart and soul.
Hunter Paye splits his time between Portland, Austin and the woods of Vermont. His latest album ‘All The Walls Are Windows’ features members of Y La Bamba, The Portland Cello Project, Run on Sentence, and other Northwest favorites.
